The problem
Small Sri Lankan tea and spice sellers need a simple, fast online shop that works well on phones and feels premium without a heavy platform.
Project objectives
- Show products beautifully and make them easy to find
- Make adding to cart and checking out quick on mobile
- Keep it light enough to host anywhere with no backend
Engineering approach
Built as a dependency-free static site with plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The catalogue, filters and search run in the browser, the cart is saved in localStorage so it survives a refresh, and native dialogs power the product view and checkout. Product photography was generated in a consistent studio style.
