Case study
The problem
Tuition classes with several teachers juggle WhatsApp groups, bank slips, Zoom links and paper registers. Students lose links, teachers chase payments by hand, and there is no single place to see who has paid for which class.
Project objectives
- Give every student one portal for classes, payments, recordings and results
- Let each teacher run their own classes while the owner sees everything
- Make sure only students who paid can open a class's Zoom link and recordings
Engineering approach
Built as a React and TypeScript single-page app on Vite and Tailwind CSS, with Firebase Authentication, Firestore and Storage loaded only in the browser. Access is enforced in Firestore security rules, not just hidden in the UI: a class's live link and recordings open only when a matching access record exists, and approving a slip creates that record in the same batch. Staff members get fine-grained permissions per teacher, and every student gets a random six-digit Student ID claimed atomically so it can never repeat.
